Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Estimator to develop comprehensive project estimates, coordinate with the project team, and lead the estimation process from plan to final cost. You will analyze risks, maintain local rate libraries, and advise on contingencies.

The role requires robust CSA/MEP knowledge and proficiency with major estimating tools. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in construction estimation, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build strong client

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimator experience in construction.
• Knowledge of CSA and MEP disciplines.
• Experience with estimating systems: Accubid, Sage Timberline, InEight, CostX.
• Degree or equivalent in a construction-related discipline.
• RICS/CEP/CPE chartered or pursuing chartered status.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Strong relationship builder with team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Lead the development of the total project estimate.
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, including cost contingency recommendations.
• Analyze and recommend solutions to problems with varying complexity per guidelines.
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Lead the development of the total project estimate
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have grown your experience as an Estimator over 7+ years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment
• Have knowledge of both CSA and MEP disciplines
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Accubid, Sage Timberline, InEight , or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
• Are RICS , CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it . We can help !
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
• Are detail orientated and quality focused
• Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun

The Salary range for this role is $108,000.00 -$145,000.00 USD but actual salary offered is dependent upon experience, education, and skillset.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
