Amazon in Herndon, VA seeks a Sr. Estimating Manager for AMER Estimating and Cost Control (ECC).

This senior IC role spans mega clusters, setting standards, and serving as an AMER-wide SME for estimating practices while mentoring others and coordinating with Cost Control, Preconstruction, Design Engineering, and Finance. You will autonomously make pricing judgments, drive estimate-to-actual feedback, and represent estimating to senior leadership and cross-functional partners across AMER clusters

Formación

• Must have 8+ years in construction cost estimating/cost management
• Experience presenting to senior leadership
• Proven ability to produce and validate estimates for large programs ($100M+)
• Ability to interpret drawings and specs across ME/P, civil, structural, architectural

Responsabilidades

• Own estimating for multiple mega clusters and lead portfolio-wide deliverables
• Establish standards, methodologies, and best practices across cluster groups
• Mature the third-party estimating vendor program and define quality mechanisms
• Lead the estimate-to-actual feedback across cluster groups and benchmark data
• Escalation point for junior Estimating Managers on novel scopes
• Communicate estimating data to senior leadership and cross-functional partners
• Mentor junior Estimating Managers and Discipline Estimators
• Drive cost breakdown structure evaluation and contractor pricing validation
• Reverse engineer contracts to inform portfolio-level pricing intelligence
• Partner with analytics teams to integrate estimating data into forecasting and AI initiatives
