Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a seasoned Manager of Construction Estimating to lead the AMER ECC estimating function for data center projects.

You will build and guide a regional team of estimators and vendors, drive end-to-end cost planning, and partner with Design Engineering for Basis of Design estimates. This role reports to the ECC leadership and requires expert cost management across multiple geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating, cost management, or quantity surveying in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with third party vendors.
• Demonstrated experience producing conceptual through detailed construction cost estimates for large-scale, complex projects ($500M+).
• Proficiency with cost estimating tools and databases (RSMeans, CostX, Sage/Timberline, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff).
• Strong analytical skills to interpret drawings, specs, and contracts across MEPC, civil, structural, architectural.
• Experience with multi-geography pricing across the U.S.
• Excellent communication with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of estimating professionals across regions and disciplines.
• Own delivery of ECC estimating scope areas and budget support.
• Manage third-party estimating vendor contracts and deliverables.
• Drive estimate-to-actual feedback loop with Cost Control for accuracy.
• Lead inputs into annual Operating Plan capital planning and budget packages.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering and global teams on Basis of Design estimates.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, tools, and methodologies.
