Job summary

Barings is seeking a Senior Associate in ESG Analytics to support quantitative ESG analysis for public and private portfolios. You will partner with portfolio managers, product managers, and sales to provide ESG analytics and reporting, and contribute to overlays for mandates such as decarbonization.

The role requires experience with Python, SQL, Excel, and PowerBI, plus knowledge of frameworks like TCFD/SFDR/TNFD. Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of ESG data experience, ideally at an ESG vendor or asset manager.
• Ability to manipulate large ESG datasets and explain ESG metrics to investment teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly ESG analytics production run.
• Provide monthly and quarterly ESG analytics and data to investment teams and clients.
• Contribute to client meetings and presentations on Barings ESG capabilities.
• Develop ESG portfolio overlay strategies to support client objectives like decarbonization mandates.
• Build and improve analytical tools, dashboards, and screens to better incorporate ESG analytics into the investment process.
• Liaise with data vendors and improve data quality; collaborate with data, technology and platform teams.
