Job summary

Layton Construction Company is seeking an ESH professional to implement corporate, field, and office safety policies across multiple U.S. project sites. You will champion safety initiatives, uphold integrity, and reinforce a strong safety culture among Layton teams and subcontractors.

You will manage safety programs, review regulatory guidance, and drive training under Safety 360. The role interfaces with executives, project leaders, and government agencies to ensure compliant, safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of ESH experience required.
• Proficient in OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Champion The Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external partners, and customers.
• Establish and reinforce safety culture with Layton and subcontractor employees across multiple U.S. project sites.
• Manage safety programs on all assigned projects, including CCIP and other risk management initiatives.
• Provide regulatory and policy review, interpretation, and technical guidance.
• Oversee monthly audit program to ensure compliance and program effectiveness.
• Implement training to support Safety 360 and ensure subcontractor OSHA/MSHA compliance.
• Interface with SBU leaders, site supervision, subcontractor management, and government agencies (OSHA, EPA, MSHA).
