Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a seasoned ESH professional to implement corporate, field, and office safety policies across multiple sites. You will lead safety programs, review regulatory guidance, and drive incident prevention.

Travel across the U.S. will be required to support projects, with a focus on OSHA/MSHA compliance and safety training initiatives. Strong communication and industrial hygiene knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of ESH experience required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations.
• Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA.
• Previous CCIP Experience Preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. as project needs dictate.
• Basic Spanish language communication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external partners, and customers.
• Establish and reinforce safety culture with Layton and subcontractor employees across multiple U.S. project sites.
• Manage safety programs on all assigned projects, including CCIP and other complex risk management initiatives.
• Provide regulatory and policy review, interpretation, and technical guidance.
• Review audit summaries, daily observations, and injury statistics to identify risks and propose structured safety programs.
