Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to guide ERP initiatives within the WEST team. The role includes leading complex data analyses, defining scope, and mentoring junior staff to optimize Workday and related systems across finance, HR, and research administration.

You will collaborate with institutional leadership, gather requirements, and drive system enhancements while ensuring data integrity and compliance with university standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct complex data analyses to meet data management objectives.
• Serve as a strategic ERP advisor to leadership on system capabilities.
• Define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding.
• Lead requirements gathering with stakeholders and SMEs.
• Drive design and modification of complex information systems and document requirements.
• Identify and implement programs to meet objectives balancing cost and performance.
• Write and present reports to support decision-making and improvements.
• Support project tasks including design, configuration, testing, and process documentation.
• Identify change impacts or training needs.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to lower-level staff.
• Support end-user issues ensuring seamless system experiences.
