Job summary

The City of Pasadena Department of Information Technology is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (ERP). The role serves as a functional liaison for enterprise applications, conducting business process analysis, system configuration, and user support to ensure efficient use of the City’s ERP system and other enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong IT knowledge, document requirements, define scope, and drive solutions aligned with City goals.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college; major in business, public administration, MIS.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in professional business systems analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably public sector like Tyler Munis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between IT and other city departments for ERP projects.
• Provide ongoing functional support for ERP Financial applications.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable to identify needs and evaluate system capabilities.
• Define processes for system upgrades and integrations with third-party vendors.
• Create automation routines to enforce business rules and improve workflow efficiency.
• Facilitate implementation of new system capabilities, workflows, and reporting improvements.
• Lead the interface between business needs and technical execution.
• Document business needs and requirements.
• Coordinate testing and train system users.
