Job summary

Sierra Medical Center is seeking a Senior Emergency Department Technician for a part-time role. You will assist with direct patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse, maintain a prepared environment for patient care, and support vital sign assessment and patient transport as needed.

Qualifications include current AEMT and BLS certifications, with a preference for at least one year in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Current AEMT Certification.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Prefer one year experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive care to the Emergency Dept patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse or physician.
• Takes, documents, and reports vital signs. Reports abnormal results immediately to the registered nurse.
• Transports patients, as necessary to other departments and inpatient units.
• Assists with moving, ambulating and lifting patients.
