Job summary

Parkland Community Health Plan in Dallas is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will provide direct bedside care in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting, coordinate patient care with the health care team, and use the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes.

The role requires a Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC/ATCN preferably, with 2+ years ED experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience.
• Emergency Department experience preferred for direct bedside care in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient advocate and coordinates care with the healthcare team.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and responds to changes in condition.
• Administers medications safely and manages IV access with standard precautions.
• Acts as Charge Nurse on rotation and serves as a preceptor to nursing staff.
