The ideal candidate has 5+ years in shelter or high-volume practice, advanced nursing and anesthesia expertise, and a collaborative mindset to work with veterinarians, staff, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as Veterinary Technician in high-volume settings.
• Expertise in anesthesia, perioperative patient care, and nursing.
• Experience mentoring technicians and volunteers.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care for hospitalized, surgical, emergency, and wellness patients.
• Assist veterinarians during high-volume surgeries and emergencies.
• Manage documentation, medication administration, and dosing calculations.
• Mentor technicians and volunteers; support onboarding and training.
• Collaborate with clinic teams to maintain high standards of patient care.
