Job summary

nLIGHT, located in Camas, Washington, is seeking an Equipment Technician to maintain and service Test & Bonding equipment in a clean room environment. You will operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and upgrade tools, document procedures, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

The role requires 3+ years of maintenance experience and the ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics. Shift work, safety compliance, and teamwork are essential in our growing operation.

Qualifications

• Background in equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic and piping schematics.
• Ability to write technical procedures and work instructions.
• Experience with SPC is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of tools and facilities
• Performs set-up, calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades and preventative maintenance on Test & Bonding equipment using CMMS
• Supports installation of process tools
• Collects and evaluates equipment data, including SPC, to ensure equipment baselines and operations remain in control and quality maintenance standards are met
• Creates preventative maintenance procedures
• Drives/enables suggestions from the team and other sources to implementation, resulting in continuous improvement
• Provides recommendations for new or improved procedures
• Responsible for lab safety, spare part inventory, and 5S organization
• Cross trains other technicians
• Supports operations as needed
• Other duties as assigned
