TIC in Louisville seeks an experienced equipment operator to maintain roads and rights-of-way, load and grade materials, and support construction projects. The role requires operating heavy machinery, performing basic maintenance, and following safety protocols on outdoor sites.

The ideal candidate can read instructions, work outdoors in varying weather, and communicate effectively with supervision. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project schedules.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Strong operating knowledge of construction equipment and safety practices.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Proficient use of basic tools and measurement devices.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment to maintain roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt, and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Construct ditches for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check fluid levels and lubrication; perform routine maintenance.
• Instruct and train workers in safe equipment operation and techniques.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials for defects or issues.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, and required resources.
