The State of Nevada seeks an Equipment Mechanic at Lovelock Correctional Center to maintain a varied fleet and lead an auto shop crew of offenders. You will oversee preventative maintenance, inspections, and service on vehicles and equipment, and may teach offenders in small engine repair and re-entry skills.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical and fuel systems, rebuilding transmissions, and performing brake, steering, and suspension work.

Competenze

• Completion of an automotive/equipment repair apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Nevada state service Equipment Mechanic-In-Training program qualified.
• One year of experience as Equipment Mechanic I in Nevada State service.

Mansioni

• Maintain, repair, and modify fleet equipment including light, medium, and heavy vehicles.
• Supervise an auto shop crew of offenders and oversee preventative maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose electrical and fuel systems.
• Teach offenders in small engine repair and re-entry skills.
