Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician II for a contract in Hanover Park, IL. The ideal candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate manufacturing equipment to support efficient production and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, calibration, reading blueprints and schematics, and documenting repair activity. The role requires 2–5 years of electro-mechanical experience and an associate degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Servo Controls, or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting electro‑mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with diagnostics, preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of electro‑mechanical production systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electro‑mechanical manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable production operations and minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and calibration activities using specialized test and diagnostic equipment.
• Disassemble, rebuild, adjust, and reassemble production equipment based on blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and repair manuals.
• Support installation, relocation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Train and coordinate with machine operators on maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and operational best practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, document repair activities, and utilize maintenance tracking systems to support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
