Job summary

MKS Instruments in Broomfield, CO is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and Facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair CNC and automation systems to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Reporting to the manufacturing engineering supervisor, you will be responsible for diagnosing complex issues, supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment, and coordinating with external service providers when needed.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent vocational training required.
2+ years of related experience required.
Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance.
Strong communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to schedules.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime through rapid root-cause analysis.
Assist with installation, qualification, and commissioning of new equipment.
Validate equipment functionality and production readiness.
Coordinate with equipment manufacturers during major repairs.
