Job summary

MKS Instruments in Colorado is seeking a CNC Machinist to join a cross-functional team. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery to produce precision components according to engineering drawings, reporting to the Senior Supervisor of Manufacturing Operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient with CNC machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance.
• Strong understanding of tooling, feed and speed parameters.
• Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Commitment to safety and quality standards in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts per drawings and work instructions.
• Set up machines, load materials, and monitor operations for abnormalities.
• Inspect finished parts with precision tools to ensure spec compliance.
• Maintain documentation including inspection results and production logs.
• Identify and report defects, issues, or equipment concerns.
• Perform routine machine maintenance such as replenishing lubricants and coolants.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and resolve challenges.
