Job summary

Midsouth Aggregates, a CRH Company, seeks an Equipment Manager to oversee maintenance, repair, and inventory control of our equipment and tools. You will ensure safe operation, schedule maintenance, manage inventory, and coordinate transportation.

Strong leadership and decision-making are essential for this role. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in equipment management, knowledge of maintenance and logistics, and proficiency in inventory software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment management or related area.
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and logistics.
• Excellent organizational and management skills.
• Ability to make swift, effective decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software.
• Experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Certification in equipment management or related field preferred.
• Computer skills—Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the purchase, maintenance, and disposal of equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and tracking.
• Coordinate and supervise equipment-related training for staff.
• Work with departments to understand equipment needs and coordinate acquisitions.
• Develop maintenance schedules and ensure adherence.
• Resolve equipment malfunctions and optimize uptime.
• Ensure equipment meets standards and company policies.
• Manage the equipment budget and cost-effectiveness.
• Promote safety culture and best practices.
• Oversee rentals and leases of equipment.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to stay updated on new tech.
• Track shop and equipment financials and report performance.
• Manage utilization and unbilled hours.
• Develop and sustain high-performing equipment personnel.
