Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial credit underwriting or equipment finance.
• Experience underwriting and decisioning equipment lease and loan transactions.
• Strong financial statement spreading and cash flow analysis.
• Experience with large transactions and credit facilities preferred.
• Background in construction, industrial, or hard asset financing preferred.
• Experience with inventory finance or broker-originated transactions is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions in a high-volume environment.
• Mentoring junior credit analysts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and decision complex equipment finance transactions, typically $500K and above.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, credit reports to assess risk.
• Evaluate transactions across construction, industrial, material handling, and other hard asset sectors.
• Structure and recommend credit approvals, including larger credit facilities of up to $10MM
• Conduct annual credit line reviews and monitor existing customer relationships.
• Negotiate and structure complex or challenging credits while balancing risk and business objectives.
• Partner with sales, originations, and internal credit teams to facilitate timely decisions and resolve outstanding credit requests.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior credit analysts.
• Maintain accurate credit documentation and ensure decisions align with established risk management guidelines.
• Support high-risk and broker-originated transactions as needed.
• Assist with credit scoring model enhancements and process improvements.
