Job summary

IQE, a global leader in compound semiconductor wafers, seeks a MBE Process Engineer in the Greensboro area to oversee day-to-day MBE reactor operations, optimize epitaxial growth, and deliver materials meeting client specs. You will partner with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to drive process improvements and cost-efficient manufacturing.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of process engineering experience, strong SPC and recipe editing skills, and a background in reactor-based epitaxy.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience in Process Engineering or equivalent manufacturing field.
• 7+ years experience in Process Engineering or equivalent.
• Reactor (MBE) process knowledge.
• Must have experience with SPC and recipe editing.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute epitaxial growth experiments and analyze results.
• Correlate growth data with characterization (Photoluminescence, XRD, Hall).
• Tune growth to deliver high-quality epi-wafers meeting specs.
• Coordinate orders with Planning, Production, maintenance, and characterization teams.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to increase yield and efficiency.
• Assist in establishing specifications for new epitaxy products/equipment.
