MPF Federal is seeking an experienced Senior Epidemiologist to support NHRC's Operational Infectious Diseases in San Diego, CA. The role emphasizes real-world, applied epidemiology for force health protection.

You will lead epidemiologic studies, oversee data collection and analyses, and communicate findings to military and civilian partners. Requires DoD-level clearance and a track record securing large-scale research funding.

Qualifications

• MPH/MSPH in Epidemiology or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• PhD in Epidemiology with 1–3 years of experience in surveillance/epidemiology.
• Experience applying ML/AI methods to epidemiologic data.
• 5+ years of infectious disease surveillance/epidemiologic analysis.
• Proficiency with SAS, R, STATA, SQL, REDCap, Excel (advanced), Power BI.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead epidemiologic studies informing Force Health Protection and operational decisions.
• Design surveillance studies and outbreak investigations in operational environments.
• Coordinate with staff, leadership, and external partners to meet timelines.
• Collaborate with microbiologists, clinicians, and planners to integrate findings.
• Prepare reports and presentations for military leadership and partners.
