Job summary

Advanced Technologies & Laboratories International, Inc. (ATL) seeks a Senior Engineer/Scientist - PhD/ScD epidemiologist with expertise in the epidemiology of cancers, affected worker populations, and carcinogenic occupational exposures.

The role involves providing SME on occupational exposures to radiation, chemicals, and fumes for study design and data interpretation of military aviation and firefighter datasets, and contributing to literature reviews and job exposure matrices.

Qualifications

• PhD required.
• Experience in the epidemiology of cancers.
• Experience with occupational exposure assessment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME on occupational exposures to radiation, chemicals, and fumes for study design and data interpretation.
• Oversee and assist developing and conducting statistical analysis plans for studies.
• Review job groupings into similar exposure groups with industrial hygienists and health physicists for exposure assessment.
• Contribute to literature reviews of aviation-related hazards and carcinogens.
• Assist in literature review resulting in prioritized list of carcinogens of interest.
• Assist in developing job exposure matrices and quantifying exposure to ionizing radiation.
• Develop a job exposure matrix for exposure to ionizing radiation at high altitude flight.
