Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior Toxicologist to support its Health Science Portfolio, advising on hazard assessment, risk assessment, and exposure analysis for environmental pollutants. The role emphasizes leadership across projects, integration of mechanistic data, and communication with federal agencies.

You will supervise staff, manage multiple projects remotely, draft protocols and reports, and collaborate with toxicologists, biologists, epidemiologists, and statisticians. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience in academic, industry, regulatory, or consulting fields.
• Or Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Project management and technical leadership activities on multiple projects concurrently involving toxicology data, systematic literature reviews, and risk assessment.
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives and serve as the primary point of contact for client and internal project teams.
• Toxicological report development, including writing methods, results, and discussion sections, reviewing toxicological conclusions based on the test results, and synthesizing findings into a weight of evidence analysis.
• Draft protocol and guidance documents, toxicological reports, manuscripts, project descriptions, and proposals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of toxicologists, biologists, epidemiologists, and statisticians to address complex scientific and regulatory questions.
• Toxicology systematic review tasks including literature screening, study quality evaluation, study data extraction, dose-response analysis, incorporation of NAMs and mechanistic data, and data synthesis.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior- and mid-level staff.
