Job summary

The Oilgear Company, Traverse City, MI, is seeking an Epicor Kinetic Senior Business Analyst to optimize and support the ERP system across locations. You will embed with finance, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to document current workflows and implement improved processes on-site.

The role requires 7+ years in Epicor, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to mentor a team while traveling domestically (and occasionally internationally) to support sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on Epicor experience (Epicor ERP/E10 and/or Kinetic), with recent Kinetic/Cloud experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of ERP workflows in manufacturing, finance, or distribution.
• Proficiency in BAQ, BPM, SSRS reporting, and Epicor Application Studio.
• Familiarity with Epicor Admin tools (Task Agent, Company Configuration, User Security).
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, or mentor other team members.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) to support all company locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day user support and training for the Epicor Kinetic ERP system across all THI, Oilgear, and Hydromotion locations.
• Travel to and sit on-site with each location to observe operations and build relationships with end users and leadership.
• Embed with departments to document current-state workflows, identify gaps, and design and build improved processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with departments to identify system improvements and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain BAQs, dashboards, reports, BPMs, and customizations as required.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement test plans for functional changes, bug fixes, enhancements, patches, and upgrades.
• Coordinate with Epicor support and third-party vendors when necessary.
• Participate in steering committee meetings to update leaders on process improvements.
• Assist with data migrations, integrations, and system configuration.
• Standardize and document processes, system architecture, and changes across sites.
• Manage, mentor, and support the Business Analyst reporting to this role.
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and provide guidance to align with ERP goals.
• Conduct regular check-ins and annual performance reviews for the Business Analyst.
• Promote professional development and skill growth for the team member(s) under supervision.
