Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Senior Epic Willow Consultant (Level III) for a remote, 3-month engagement. The role requires current Epic Willow certification (Dual IP and AMB preferred) and 5–7 years of hands-on Willow configuration experience.

The consultant will lead end-to-end Willow IP/AMB design, optimize medication workflows, and collaborate with hospital pharmacy leaders to maximize Epic investments. The project focuses on inpatient and ambulatory pharmacy modules, including complex builds,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on configuration and implementation experience with Epic Willow.
• Current, active Epic Willow Certification (Dual IP and AMB certification strongly preferred; robust primary Willow IP expertise required if single-module).
• Proven track record of delivering major Epic implementations, optimization, or upgrade lifecycles within large hospital networks, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), or complex health systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy operations, 340B compliance, medication safety standards, and pharmacy automation/interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Implementation & Optimization Strategy: Lead the end-to-end design, complex build, testing, and deployment of Epic Willow IP and AMB workflows, ensuring seamless medication continuity across inpatient and outpatient care.
• Clinical & Operational Collaboration: Engage with directors of pharmacy, clinical pharmacists, and medical staff to align system architecture with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives.
• Complex Problem Solving: Troubleshoot high-complexity system issues and architect scalable solutions for complex health networks.
• Quality Assurance & Upgrades: Oversee testing cycles, validation protocols, and upgrade paths for pharmacy systems and ADC integrations.
• Leadership & Knowledge Transfer: Mentor junior analysts and guide client stakeholders on design decisions.
