Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer - Ambulatory to lead and implement Epic environments and define future state workflows within a collaborative, matrixed team. The role focuses on translating business needs into technical specifications and driving quality across large healthcare IT projects.

Responsibilities include discovery, design sessions, and documentation, with emphasis on Epic configuration, test planning, and vendor upgrade support.

Qualifications

• Strong Epic configuration and implementation experience.
• Experience in test planning & execution, test case development, and meeting project quality requirements.
• Experience working on large projects in healthcare IT.
• Analytical, problem resolution and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintenance of Epic environments.
• Lead Discovery calls and provide Level of Effort.
• Facilitate design sessions with business leaders and analysts.
• Create and fulfill EHR use cases, identify business and functional requirements and translate to technical specs.
• Lead documentation efforts for discovery and implementation.
• Ensure requirements and future state workflows are clearly defined.
• Work with Project Managers to identify tasks and estimates.
• Support vendor upgrades and environment maintenance.
• Participate in analysis of current state processes and collaborate with users to create future state processes.
• Identify and document process and data gaps.
