Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for the HITS Epic Resolute team to support a unified Epic electronic medical record across the organization, with a focus on Revenue Cycle workflows including Hospital and Professional Billing, Claims, and Contracts.

You will collaborate with operational leaders and technical teams to analyze requirements, configure and test the Epic system, resolve issues, and support readiness and implementation activities while ensuring knowledge

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of IT-related experience supporting hospital electronic health record systems, with a focus on billing.
Epic certification or accreditation in Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, Claims, and/or Reimbursement Contracts is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of Epic workflows under supervision.
Analyze business needs, document requirements, translate to system specs, and identify process improvements.
Participate in software upgrade projects, review releases, test and validate new functionality.
Collaborate with internal teams including MiChart and HITS, and external partners like Epic to resolve integration issues.
Coordinate changes end-to-end: design, build, test, educate, and communicate, with complete documentation in ServiceNow.
Support training activities and knowledge transfer to end users.
