AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL, seeks a qualified IT analyst to maintain and optimize Epic and related systems supporting patient care delivery. You will work with clinicians and end users to design, test, and implement workflows, develop documentation, and ensure upgrades align with Epic specifications.
Candidates should have Epic certification (or plan to complete within 3 months), strong Microsoft Office skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsible for maintaining clinical and business systems to support patient care delivery. This position analyzes business problems and recommends solutions that align with organizational goals. This role collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and other associated systems. In addition, this position coordinates with physicians and end users to document workflows, perform gap analyses, and develop future workflows during new implementations. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with hospital leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff. Assesses workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process changes, and develops future workflows related to new solutions or functionality. Designs, builds, and configures within assigned Epic system modules and supporting third-party applications, developing and maintaining system process documentation. Demonstrates advanced functional knowledge of Epic, applicable third-party solutions, and the Microsoft suite of products. Serves as a lead member of the team dedicated to developing electronic documentation solutions that support clinical workflow and practice. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, capturing business and technical requirements. Develops test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, performs unit, system, and integration testing, and documents outcomes. Remains current on industry trends and vendor/application/system updates, ensuring software modifications/upgrades function according to Epic specifications. Follows departmental standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases, providing documentation and training on system upgrades and new releases. Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies, initiates escalation procedures, and provides recommendations for resolution. Participates in multiple cross-functional projects, utilizing project planning and coordination methodologies, tools, and lean methodologies. Provides guidance and acts as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants. Actively participates in project, team, departmental, and other meetings, reporting status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to the manager. Other duties as assigned.
Remote with 0-25% travel possible travel.
Epic certification required (any application), 3rd party integration desired.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement: Associates degree OR High School Grad or Equivalent and 2+ years of experience. Yearly participation in ongoing education either formal or through conferences, active professional organization participation, or journal presentations [Required]
