Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity leader to build partnerships across CDI groups, develop education programs, and standardize documentation practices. This role drives system-wide CDI policies and educates staff across the network.

The position requires 2+ years in CDI, 3+ years in leadership, and multiple certifications, with a pathway to advance clinical documentation leadership within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• 2+ experience in clinical documentation integrity in the acute care setting.
• 3+ leadership experience including at least 1 year clinical documentation leadership.
• 5+ acute care experience.
• Involvement in professional organizations such as AC DIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds partnerships with facility CDI groups to foster collaboration and alignment.
• Develops and implements education programs to enhance CDI staff skills.
• Coordinates with facility CDI groups to identify educational needs and gaps.
• Provides guidance for process changes to improve documentation integrity and compliance.
• Collaborates with CDI groups to standardize processes and ensure consistency in documentation practices.
• Monitors and evaluates education programs and process changes and adjusts as needed.
• Facilitates communication between facility CDI groups and system leadership.
• Develops and disseminates training materials, guidelines, and best practices.
• Organizes training sessions, workshops, and webinars for CDI staff.
• Acts as a resource for complex documentation issues.
• Participates in system-wide CDI policies and procedures.

Job Description

• 5+ acute care experience [Required]
• Demonstrated involvement in professional organizations such as the Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS) [Preferred]
