Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Senior Epic Analyst (Cadence/Referral) to translate clinical needs into Epic functionality. You will design, build, test, and implement Referrals and Cadence within Epic, and support users with workflows and documentation, acting as a technical leader on medium-to-large projects.

The role requires strong clinical-application knowledge, project leadership, and advanced communication skills to train staff and collaborate with clinicians and stakeholders in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Nine years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five years of related experience/training.
• Knowledge of clinical applications systems, testing, training, and project delivery across Epic Cadence/Referrals.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Advanced interpersonal and written communication to train and support clinical users.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to lead medium to large projects.
• Ability to guide teams and provide strategic recommendations on system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into EMR functionality for Referrals and Cadence in Epic.
• Design, build, test, and implement Referrals and Cadence in Epic.
• Provide support to clinical and patient access users and develop training materials.
• Lead or contribute to medium to large projects with broad scope and impact.
• Prepare detailed specifications covering clinical and authorization processes, information flow, and risk analysis.
