Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant heavy industrial power/plant expertise. You will lead definitions, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder alignment across multi-discipline teams to ensure profitable delivery.

Responsibilities include cost control, client billings, subcontractor payments, risk management, and change control. Travel is 10% or less.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with project management methodologies including budgeting, planning, control and assurance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities for client and team interactions.
• Ability to interact with staff at varying levels and with vendors/subcontractors.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; able to prepare and analyze reports.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of building materials and construction methods; ability to read construction docs.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Creates and reviews client billings and follows up on payments; reviews subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status and escalates risks as needed.
• Manages changes using change management protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to the project team.
• Prepares overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group responsibility.
• Coordinates and attends pre-bid meetings and tabulation of bid results.
