Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant experience in heavy industrial power plants. You will lead project definitions, schedules, and budgets while coordinating with engineering teams to ensure on-time, profitable delivery.

Responsibilities include cost control, client billings, risk management, and change management. Occasional travel of 10% or less is expected as projects require on-site coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 13+ years of relevant work experience.
  • PMP, CCM or DBIA certification within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list

Responsibilities

  • Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
  • Manages project costs and is responsible for ensuring profitability.
  • Provides timely client billings and follows up on payments; reviews subcontractor invoices for timely payments.
  • Monitors project risks and escalates as appropriate.
  • Manages project change using change management protocols.
  • Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to project team.
  • Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and in-house construction budgets by group responsibility.
  • Facilitates meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
  • Travel: 10% or less
