Job summary

Westwood Professional Services is seeking an EPC Sr. Project Manager/Director to lead large, complex EPC projects from award through turnover.

You will oversee safety, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction while coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and major vendors across heavy industrial facilities. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, communicate with executives and clients, and drive risk management, cost control, and schedule recovery efforts

Qualifications

• 15+ years in industrial project execution.
• Experience leading large EPC projects from engineering through turnover.
• Experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, energy, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience managing major subcontractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership of EPC project execution from award through final completion, turnover, and closeout.
• Serve as the primary client contact for project execution matters and communicate status, risks, changes, and recovery plans clearly.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate engineering across process, civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Manage engineering changes and promote constructability, value engineering, and modularization opportunities.
• Oversee procurement of long-lead equipment and major vendors/subcontractors and resolve issues.
• Direct construction activities across multiple contractors, monitor progress, productivity, and quality.
• Maintain the integrated EPC project schedule and identify critical-path activities with recovery plans.
• Oversee project cost performance, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow; take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead project controls to provide accurate forecasts to senior management.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and escalate significant issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure quality requirements are defined and met and support client audits and quality reviews.
• Plan and coordinate commissioning/startup activities and system turnover.
