Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Corporate EPC group Planning/scheduling expert to work with planning groups across enterprise lines. The role coordinates the Planning & Performance Knowledge Network website, guides projects on scheduling issues, and provides non-routine scheduling guidance.

The position is based full time in Houston, TX or Reston, VA, with up to 30% travel. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, construction management, or related field and 8–10 years of

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in engineering discipline, business, construction management, or related field and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
• Requires ability to travel up to 30% of the time, on an as needed basis
• High level of professional judgment in scheduling and planning across procurement, construction, and startup
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools
• Experience as Lead Planner on projects and coordinating across multiple business lines

Responsibilities

• Actively coordinates activities for the Planning & Performance Knowledge Network
• Assists conducting project reviews and Planning process assessments
• Provides guidance to project controls with development of analytical dashboards
• Coordinates with Planning groups across business lines on procedures and brainstorming
• Leads scheduling classes and coordinates Planning committee interface meetings
• Supports schedule reviews and contingency workshops as needed
• Mentors junior project controls personnel on best practices
• Keeps scheduling procedures updated across EPC functions
