Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Chicago, IL is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support EPC/Program Management projects from pre-construction through warranty. You will oversee safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, and subcontractors while coordinating field staff and client relations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 7 years of PM experience in construction, with strong MS Office skills and familiarity with PM software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field with 7 years of relevant project management experience.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and promote safety performance for the project team and subcontractors.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and the execution of one or more projects.
• Provide direction in planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and project objectives.
• Develop client relationships and interface with the client for proposals and project items.
• Lead risk reviews and consult with Legal as required.
• Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Implement sections of the Project Execution Plan for construction and procurement.
