Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Senior Category Specialist to lead EPC/EPCM sourcing for major gas projects. You will drive RFQ development, scope review, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations to optimize commercial outcomes while managing risk and supplier relationships.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Construction, and Supply Chain, translating business objectives into effective sourcing strategies and maintaining an end-to-end award cadence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 4+ years of related purchasing/procurement experience.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced sourcing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and refines category sourcing strategy.
• Conduct market and spend analysis to support decisions.
• Lead negotiations with key suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Aligns with business units to collect requirements and priorities.
• Develops strategic supplier relationships and maintains key partnerships.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
