Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Engineer 3 to serve as a technical SME for value engineering, QA/QC, and independent judgment on utility-scale EPC projects. The role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA.

Summary duties include coordinating disciplines, reviewing RFPs, and managing design deliverables while upholding SOLV standards. Requires 4–7 years in EPC/renewables, a Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical or Solar preferred), and proficiency with AutoCAD

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of progressive engineering experience in EPC, renewable energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Solar focus preferred).
• Engineer-in-Training (F.E.).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Be able to perform all essential Engineer II responsibilities and document meeting minutes.
• Review technical RFP documents and provide engineering and permitting input to the estimating team.
• Coordinate design deliverables and ensure interdisciplinary alignment across stakeholders.
• Manage submittals, review consultant deliverables, and track schedules with project management.
• Provide QA/QC oversight of engineering work products and share lessons learned across projects.
• Support permitting efforts with AHJs and coordinate review comments to closure.
