Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Engineer 3 to serve as a technical SME for value engineering, QA/QC, and independent judgment on utility-scale EPC projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA, with travel up to 20% to project sites.

The candidate should have a PE/FE pathway and strong skills in AutoCAD and Primavera P6. Responsibilities include coordinating multi-discipline design, evaluating consultant deliverables, and supporting permitting with

Qualifications

4–7 years of progressive engineering experience in EPC, renewable energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Solar focus preferred).
Engineer-in-Training (F.E.).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Primavera P6.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in parallel.

Responsibilities

Act as SME focusing on value engineering, QA/QC, and independent technical judgment on utility-scale EPC projects.
Coordinate across multi-discipline design teams and track engineering deliverables.
Review owner and consultant submittals, schedules, and budgets for compliance.
Support permitting efforts with AHJs and assist in due diligence during RFP stages.
Train team on process changes and share lessons learned across projects.
Represent SOLV engineering during pursuit and early-phase coordination meetings.
