Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Engineer 3 to act as a technical SME focused on value engineering, QA/QC, and independent technical judgment across utility-scale EPC projects.

The role may be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA, with location details discussed in interview. The candidate will coordinate multi-discipline engineering, review RFPs, support permitting with AHJs, manage submittals, and ensure design deliverables meet SOLV standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Solar focus preferred).
• Engineer-in-Training (FE) certification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Primavera P6.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20% to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential Engineer II responsibilities.
• Document meeting minutes for engineering and permitting-related meetings and distribute action items.
• Review technical RFP documents and provide input to the estimating team.
• Coordinate design deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review consultant deliverables and flag deviations or risks.
• Manage submittals and coordinate with Owner, IE, and consultants.
• Support AHJ coordination and permit applications.
• Identify gaps in engineering processes and develop improvements.
