Job summary

Blue Energy seeks a senior EPC Contracts Lead to act as the primary commercial manager for its EPC contracts, overseeing the full lifecycle from pre-award strategy to close-out. The role reports to the Director of Contracts and collaborates with the project delivery team on programme, cost, and scope matters.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction contracts management with full lifecycle experience.
• Experience managing various EPC commercial models.
• Strong claims, delay and disruption, and final account negotiation capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of construction contract mechanisms on power, LNG, oil and gas, or industrial projects.
• High-level quantitative skills to value complex variations and form independent cost assessments.
• Degree in law, engineering, commerce, or quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

• Manage EPC contracts from cradle to grave and protect the company’s contractual position.
• Lead pre-award stage gate negotiations, including cost book audits and risk treatment.
• Oversee post-award administration through execution and change orders.
• Own change order assessment, negotiation, and register management within deadlines.
• Manage claims and commercial matters, including milestone assessments and disputes.
• Maintain notice management discipline and escalation of compliance risks.
• Lead final account negotiation and close out obligations.
• Supervise and develop the Contracts Administrator.
• Maintain the commercial reporting suite for internal, lender, and executive audiences.
