Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Project Manager II to oversee the installation of DI equipment and execution of EPC projects, ensuring safety, cost discipline, and schedule adherence. You will initiate projects, manage production/procurement, control budgets, and drive project closeout.

You will mentor junior staff, lead cross-functional teams, coordinate utility interconnections, and report to senior leadership while advancing risk management and continuous improvement across project execution.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field AND 6+ years in energy or construction; or HS diploma with 8+ years experience.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with budgets exceeding $15M.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification required.
• Knowledge of permitting processes and environmental compliance standards.
• Experience coordinating utility interconnection requirements and regulatory approvals.
• Demonstrated success mentoring junior project managers or coordinators.
• Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
• Experience in risk/change management and mitigation planning.
• Strong financial acumen including forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and legal requirements.
• Lead complex, multi-phase projects with strategic importance.
• Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders.
• Develop and implement risk management plans and contingency strategies.
• Oversee project portfolio performance metrics and report to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project execution processes.
• Lead post-project reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals and client presentations.
• Mentor and coach Project/Construction Manager I-level staff.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to optimize resource allocation.
• Lead permitting and interconnection coordination with utilities and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental mitigation measures and safety regulations.
• Manage subcontractor selection, scope definition, and performance tracking.
• Oversee RFIs, change orders, and close-out packages.
• Maintain project documentation using Procore and other PM tools.
