Job summary

DESRI is seeking a Senior Manager or Director, EPC Commercial & Delivery to lead pre-FNTP commercial strategy, contract negotiations, and risk management across its US utility-scale solar and battery storage portfolio. This role oversees EPC engagement, contract negotiation, and commercial risk through construction completion, partnering with Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field is required; advanced degree or PMP preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience; 15 years strongly preferred in EPC contracting, scheduling, and pricing within EPC org or as a developer.
• Experience progressing through EPC project management roles; exposure to EPC construction execution desirable.
• Deep familiarity with EPC contract structures, negotiations, risk allocation, pricing methodologies, schedule management, and renewable energy project delivery.
• Demonstrated experience leading negotiations for utility-scale solar and/or BESS projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-FNTP commercial review and negotiations for solar and BESS projects, including scope, pricing, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
• Serve as DESRI’s commercial authority with EPC counterparties during pre-execution, with day-to-day coordination by the PM or Pre-Construction Lead.
• Align design decisions, contracting strategies, and cost/schedule assumptions across functional groups; resolve cross-functional commercial conflicts.
• Develop, negotiate, and finalize EPC contracts and related commercial agreements with clear scope, change-order provisions, warranties, and risk allocation.
• Provide commercial oversight of pre-construction schedules, milestones, and EPC risk assessments; ensure commercial soundness and alignment with execution strategy.
• Oversee project pricing efforts, review EPC cost benchmarks, bid evaluations, and participate in internal investment/risk reviews.
• Prepare materials for leadership and investment committees, articulating EPC positions, risks, and actions.
