Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal EO Sensor Analyst/Engineer in Tucson, AZ, to develop data analysis tools for production Tier II Exo-atmospheric Seekers and Sensors. You will define test parameters and optimize data processing while ensuring mission assurance.

Responsibilities include peer reviews, documenting algorithms, and collaborating with production test teams to improve throughput and maintain system reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience analyzing EO seeker or sensor data.
• Experience utilizing Matlab.
• Experience with laboratory measurement equipment for optics, detectors, EO sensors and seekers.
• Experience writing technical data analysis reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide key support in assessing flight test performance for Tier II Exo-atmospheric Seekers and Sensors.
• Write the EO sensor/seeker portion of the flight test report and report anomalies to leadership.
• Develop algorithm requirements and analyze system performance for large, complex problems.
• Interact with test equipment development and hardware assembly/test methods; lead small teams as needed.
• Conduct test problem investigations and present failure reports as needed.
• Analyze results from the EO sensor analysis tool to detect test issues and guide investigations.
