Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal EO Sensor Analyst/Engineer to develop structured data analysis tools and support production Tier II exo-atmospheric seekers and sensors. You will work with senior engineers to compare lab measurements with flight-test performance and document algorithms and test results.

The role requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, with Matlab experience and optics/test equipment exposure. Location is Tucson, AZ, USA, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience analyzing EO seeker/sensor data and using Matlab.
• Experience with optics/detectors/EO sensors test equipment and measurement techniques.
• Experience writing technical data analysis reports.

Responsibilities

• Assess flight test performance for Tier II exo-atmospheric seekers and sensors with senior engineers.
• Write EO sensor/seeker portions of flight test reports and report anomalies to leadership.
• Develop algorithm requirements, analyze system performance, and lead small teams as needed.
• Conduct test problem investigations and present failure reports as needed.
• Analyze results from the EO sensor analysis tool to identify test issues and guide investigations.
