Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. (SBIR) seeks a Senior Manager, EO/IR Systems Engineering to lead a team of systems engineers in defining, designing, and analyzing electro-optical test systems as part of core product development.

You will support integration, characterization, and verification/validation efforts and communicate technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders. The role reports to the CTO and participates in advancing SBIR’s EO/IR offerings, including MEMS, optical imaging,

Qualifications

• Hands-on EO/IR system development and hardware sell-off in production environments.
• Requirements/spec development and RVTM management.
• Experience across two of three lifecycle areas: system design, analysis, or integration/testing.
• Strong communication skills for internal and customer-facing presentations and documentation.
• Ability to mentor junior systems engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and analyze electro-optical test systems as part of core product development.
• Lead a team of systems engineers and coordinate cross-functional work.
• Support product integration, characterization, verification and validation.
• Communicate complex EO/IR concepts clearly to customers and stakeholders.
