Job summary

Watchmaker Genomics, based in Boulder, CO, seeks a Senior Process Development Associate to advance recombinant protein expression and purification processes. You will work closely with R&D, Production, IT, and QA to design scalable methods for enzyme manufacturing.

The role requires a strong background in biochemistry, process development, and data-driven decision making, with collaboration across global sites to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or Biochemical Engineering with 5+ years in process development or bioprocess manufacturing; or Masters with 3 years.
• Experience with recombinant protein expression and purification.
• Familiarity with quality systems and risk assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize recombinant protein expression and purification processes for routine manufacturing.
• Contribute to robust experimental design and document outcomes.
• Identify CPPs and CQAs and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, IT and QA.
• Develop and revise training and work instructions.
