What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the design and execution of spatial analyses using raster and vector datasets
- Produce high-quality geospatial products, including maps, models, and derived datasets
- Oversee major project components and end-to-end processes across multiple technical areas
- Coordinate with NOAA staff and interagency partners to align product development with mission goals
- Support enhancements to sea level rise and inundation decision-support tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in geography, environmental science, coastal science, or a related field
- Master’s + 8 years or Ph.D. + 4 years of relevant geospatial analysis and/or coastal data experience
- Demonstrated project coordination or management experience in a scientific or technical environment
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with federal agency processes and interagency collaboration
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience supporting stakeholder engagement, user training, or technical outreach
- Knowledge of coastal management and marine spatial planning initiatives
