NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is a 306-bed medical center serving eastern Long Island. The hospital hosts the Knapp Cardiac Care Center and a modern ambulatory pavilion with specialized services.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Environmental Service Worker IV - Full Time, Nights. In this role you will serve a diverse patient population, including those with special needs, across all life stages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Approximately 1–3 months experience in cleaning procedures and power equipment use.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work assignments and communicate goals to ES Manager/Supervisor.
• Maintain floors: dry/damp mopping, buffing, scrubbing machines, and debris removal.
• Handle equipment and supplies: safe operation, proper chemical usage, storage, and reporting repairs.
• Floor refinishing: use chemicals, perform shower scrub, strip and refinish floors with proper safety signs.
• Carpet/curtain care: operate cleaning equipment, inspect and wash curtains, coordinate with supervisor.
• Move and set up conference rooms, cross-train with ESW teams, and support coverage as needed.
• Trash removal: empty, clean, sort recyclables, and transport to waste area.
• Provide patient/client-focused service and adhere to AIDET and service standards.
