Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a night-shift environmental services associate responsible for cleaning patient rooms, public areas, and ancillary spaces. The role requires adherence to infection control procedures, documentation of work, and proper handling of waste.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection control practices is required.
• Ability to communicate in English is required.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office are required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Documents all work performed.
• Cleans patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and ancillary rooms in assigned areas.
• Collects and disposes of trash in an appropriate manner.
• Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Disposes of waste according to guidelines.
• Trains employees, addresses concerns, and resolves problems.

Job Description

• Cleans assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated.
• Demonstrates a complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Documents all work that has been performed.
• Stocks cart daily with paper products and cleaning solution.
• Cleans patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and ancillary rooms in assigned areas.
• Collects and disposes of trash in an appropriate manner.
• Collects and stages soiled linen for pick up.
• Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dust mopping, damp mopping, high dusting, wall washing, scrubbing, bed making, and vacuuming.
• Disposes of normal and biohazardous waste.
• Trains employees, addresses concerns, and resolves problems.
• Includes validation of Associate expectations and accountability of front-line team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field [Required]
• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition [Required]
• Able to communicate in English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) [Required]
• One year of technical experience [Preferred]

Education

• High School Grad or Equ [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ technical experience [Required]
• 2+ technical experience [Preferred]
