Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield is a health care facility seeking a dedicated environmental services worker. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, and offices to maintain hygiene and safety standards.

The role requires basic computer skills (Word, Excel) and English communication. Experience is preferred, and full-time night weekends shifts may apply at the Mansfield, Texas location.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• 1+ year of technical experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English is required.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel are expected.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas daily, including waste removal, linen changes, and surface sanitization.
• Stock and organize supplies and ensure proper infection control practices.
• Document all cleaning tasks and report issues to supervision.
• Train associates and support front-line team accountability.

Job Description

Cleans assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces. Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated. Demonstrates a complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment. Documents all work that has been performed. Stocks cart daily with paper products and cleaning solution. Cleans patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and ancillary rooms in assigned areas. Collects and disposes of trash in an appropriate manner. Collects and stages soiled linen for pick up. Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dust mopping, damp mopping, high dusting, wall washing, scrubbing, bed making, and vacuuming. Disposes of normal and biohazardous waste. Trains employees, addresses concerns, and resolves problems. Includes validation of Associate expectations and accountability of front-line team members. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field [Required]
• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition [Required]
• Able to communicate in English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) [Required]
• One year of technical experience [Preferred]
